Our mission is to provide you a high quality tour or training course with an abundance of adventure
experiences to choose from.
We offer ocean charters and training with your adventure of choice; scuba diving, scuba training, snorkeling, spear fishing, free diving, surfing, nature tours and the very first to take you Whale Listening ‘an underwater experience you will never forget’ (scuba experience or pre-training required).
We ensure safe and responsible practices at all times and our vessel is
compliant with all safety requirements and well equipped for long journeys.
When conducting training activities, our aim is for you to want to return to a marine environment by ensuring you safely enjoy and learn during your adventure and to ensure you improve in the sport of your choice!
We have everything available to custom design your adventure and pleasure and at a price that allows budget travellers to enjoy the beautiful area as much as the rest of the tourists. Alex and his crew will make you feel like you are with friends, out having fun or an adventure whilst learning. Adding a training experience to your tour is also available to save you time and $, just ask our crew!
Blue Tortuga Adventures also offers private and customised charters aiming at small groups. We take maximum 10 people or up to 8 scuba divers (plus our crew) on our versatile fit
for purpose vessel that has a massive back deck with a BBQ and hot shower plus the comfort of an
internal saloon with kitchen, toilet and aircon.
Our vessel is durable, fast, safe, compliant, comfortable very capable of taking your
personal group to locations of your choice and timings as far as 30 nautical miles offshore (55km) anywhere from Mooloolaba down to Moreton Island, Double Island Point/ Rainbow Beach, Noosa
Heads, Mudjimba Island, Gneering Shoals, Flinders Reef, Barwon Banks and all sorts of local reefs in-between.
We also offer live-aboard charters for small groups to our local Marine Parks! ‘the night sky is
unforgettable sleeping out at sea’ (Liveaboard’s are subject to weather)
We can also create custom videos and photos of your adventures; you will love them!

Private Boat Charters
A private charter is the best way to enjoy the ultimate, private ocean experience and it allows us to focus 100% on you, your family or group. You can choose who wants to do what and when. Whether you want to dive, snorkel, spear or just cruise by the beautiful landscapes and watch the marine and bird wildlife from the comfort of your own boat, we will make it happen for your group only!
Snorkeling with Turtles
Join us for an unforgettable snorkeling adventure on the Sunshine Coast. Under the guidance of our expert team, you'll explore Mudjimba island's vibrant reefs teeming with tropical and temperate fish and plenty of resident sea turtles. Keep your eyes peeled for eagle rays, cuttlefish, octopus, nudibranchs and wobbegongs!
Spearfishing
The most sustainable way of fishing and the ability to view the marine life and reef altogether in one sport. We cater for all experiences and will take you to locations depending your request, experience and weather. We abide by all Marine park rules, and Qld fishery bag and size limits.
Surfing
Have you been captivated by a breathtaking reef break off the Sunshine Coast, dreaming of surfing it in solitude with just a few friends? Our customised Offshore Surf trips promise to transport you there and back safely and comfortably, leaving your mind filled with unforgettable memories of exhilarating reef breaks!
SCUBA Dive Training
With a crew of professional and experienced PADI MSDT and OWSI instructors we can off half day introduction dives & all levels of training from beginners through to Divemaster and Master Scuba Specialties. Contact us for a personalised training plan.
SCUBA Diving
Dive into the world of underwater exploration with our PADI Discover Scuba Diving program. This introductory course, based on the Sunshine Coast, offering a safe and exciting opportunity for newcomers to try scuba diving without the commitment of full certification.
Freediving
Explore some of the deeper parts of our reefs without the use of tanks.
We can also offer freediving training by certified freediving instructors. Get ready to meditate in the ocean.
Whale Listening
Original and 1st of its kind! Get under water, sit quietly on the ocean floor and listen to the beautiful sounds of the migrating humpback whales (Dive Certification or short training required) May to November.

Pool Activities
Curious what diving is all about and want to give it a go before investing in a course, or give a gift to your child or partner ? Our TRY a DIVE Pool activity is perfect for you. 2 hours with a certified instructor you’ll learn the basics and be introduced to the subaquatic world in a safe pool environment. For ages 8 years above! Only $145 all inclusive - Book a TRY a DIVE for an experience of a lifetime.
